the best way to lower a 1.4 polo??

Postby davelondon » Tue Apr 24, 2007 11:52 pm

hello there.
i hope someone can help me.

i have recently brought a 1.4 vw polo (2000-2002 shape), and i want to do a few things to it. basically i want it to be a gti lookalike. seems quite simple to do, but i have a few questions.

firstly, i wanna get some gti alloys, which is easy, and i also wanna lower it 30-40 mm. what is the best way to lower it? is it advisable to just change the springs, or do i need a whole new suspension?

thank you,

dave.

Fit a suspension kit such as the Weitec Ultra GT which I just happen to be a dealer for. Avoid coil over kits if you are at all concerned about ride quality.

The standard shock can normally cope with a drop of upto 25mm after that you need shocks and matched springs.
