Removing oil from carpet in boot

Postby ForestAthlete » Thu Jul 22, 2010 4:06 pm

Had a litre of engine oil leak in the boot, all over the spare wheel compartment cover carpet.
What's the best way to remove it. Everything that goes in the boot's getting covered in oil!

Thanks

I would use brake cleaner but you will need a lot. Beware that it is extremely volatile, flammable and do not use it in a confined space. I think you will need to buy a 5 litre can of it, should cost you about £10.
