tranction control activating periodically

Hi guys, I have just recently bought a 2004 passat 1.9 tdi. It needed a cv fitting which was done by a local mechanic. Shortly after though the traction control seems to kick in when i hit 60mph, I brought it to the same mechanic but he doesnt think it has anything to do with the job he did. Anybody any ideas.

I would say that the ABS sensor or rotor is dirty/damaged and the rotor is on the CV joint.

Thank you, is there any way of checking for these faults, I have had it put on the computer but no fault codes are coming up.
Really confused.
